Travel to Netherlands Masters 2018

The Netherlands Masters 2018 takes place in the centre of Rotterdam. Rotterdam Blaak station is approx 10 minutes walk and Rotterdam Central station is an approx 15min walk to the event location. From the central station you can also take tram lines 7 (direction Woudestein) or 8 (direction Kleiweg) and get out at the third tram stop “Meent”.

Central Station
Rotterdam offers excellent train connections. The intercity trains from all over the Netherlands call at Rotterdam Central Station, but also the international highspeed trains like the HSL and the Thalys stop in Rotterdam. At Rotterdam Central Station it is easy to transfer to metros, trams and busses in Rotterdam.

The RET is the Rotterdam transport company and to travel with RET metros, trams and busses you need a OV chip card. The RET offers disposable chip cards for single use that is ideal for tourists. The disposable OV chip card is available at sales points, top-up machines and information kiosks at the metro stations, the RET-Service Shop, post offices, Primera shops, Tabac&Gifts shops, ROTTERDAM.INFO (tourist information office), VVV Rotterdam Info Café and via www.ov-chipkaart.nl.

Parking in Rotterdam
If you plan to travel by car to Rotterdam, it is important to know that parking along the streets requires payment with a (prepaid) chip card. At various locations in the city centre and at major attractions, parking metres also accept payment with credit cards (Visa card or MasterCard). Alternatively, there are many car parks in the centre of Rotterdam that accept payment with a bank pass, a credit card or cash.

P+R(Free)
The cheapest and easiest way to park your car is a Park+Ride lot at the edge of the city. Use the free (secure) parking facilities at these locations and take public transport into the city. All the P+R lots offer direct public transport connections to the city centre. You can be in the heart of the city within 20 minutes, without any parking problems. The P+R lots are located at the metro stations Alexander, Capelsebrug, Hoogvliet, Kralingse Zoom, Meijersplein, Slinge and at tram stop Noorderhelling.
